HR Manager - Worcester Learning one
Location: Based at our Head Office in Worcester with weekly site visits to Kidderminster
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, term-time only (38 weeks per year)
Salary: 18,270 pro-rated (FTE equivalent 40,000) depending on experience and qualifications

As our HR Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and sustaining a positive, values-led workplace where our tutors and support staff are supported, motivated, and valued. You'll lead HR activities that uphold our core principles of integrity, compassion, fairness and continuous improvement ensuring WLZ Tutors remains an empowering place to work and grow.
You'll be a key partner to leadership across all people-related areas including:
Leading on recruitment & onboarding - attract, recruit and welcome great people who reflect our values and commitment to learners.
Taking responsibility for employee experience & culture - foster a supportive, inclusive culture where staff feel respected, heard and engaged.
Coordinating appraisal processes and support professional development opportunities.
Maintaining HR policies (with Peninsula), ensuring employment law compliance, and champion wellbeing initiatives.
Provide effective HR guidance to staff and managers, handling queries, records, and systems.
We're looking for someone who:
Has strong HR experience across generalist duties
Believes in people-centred leadership and values-based decision making
Communicates clearly, compassionately, and professionally
Can work independently and collaboratively
Is familiar with UK employment law and best HR practices
Holds (or is working towards) CIPD (or equivalent) qualifications - desirable but not essential
Has experience in the education sector
Willing and able to travel to our Kidderminster site at least once a week
