Prior experience in a restaurant or catering setting is required.
Duties
Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
Support the cooking process by following recipes and safety guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and utensils
Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Serve food to customers or assist serving staff during busy periods
Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
Support the team during catering events or large-scale meal services as required
Skills
Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is required
Strong knowledge of food preparation and culinary techniques
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Flexibility to adapt to various roles within the kitchen as needed
