Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Office Administrator / Sales Support Assistant to join our small, friendly team. This part time role covers 2-3 days per week, with Friday as a required working day and the remaining day(s) flexible depending on the successful candidate. Additional hours will be available for holiday cover, with the potential for the role to grow over time.
The ideal candidate will be confident, organised, and comfortable communicating with customers. Full training will be provided, but previous administration experience and good IT skills will be an advantage. The role is varied and fast paced, offering plenty of day to day variety.
Key Responsibilities
Acting as the first point of contact: answering calls and directing enquiries
Greeting visitors and assisting customers in person
Handling customer enquiries via phone and email
Preparing accurate quotations
Processing sales orders and invoices
Packaging and dispatching customer orders
Processing purchase orders
Managing customer databases and product warranty records
Maintaining spreadsheets and general office administration
Providing after sales product support to customers
Key Skills & Attributes
Proactive, self motivated, and enthusiastic
Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner
Customer service focused
Competent computer skills (Word & Excel essential)
Able to use initiative and adapt to new tasks
Good time management and organisational skills
Approachable and a strong team player
Reliable and hard working
Knowledge of Sage Accounts is an advantage but not essential
An interest in motorcycles or automotive products is beneficial but not required
Experience & Qualifications
2+ years administration experience (preferred)
Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE English & Maths A-C or equivalent desirable)
