We are a comedy production company based in Edinburgh and London. We also make software that is used by comedy clubs and comedy producers worldwide.
We work fully remotely and asynchronously, and work on a number of exciting projects worldwide including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (we produced 16 shows this year), the Brighton Fringe, the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and more.
We are looking for an experienced financial controller to lead the financial aspects of our growing business. You will report directly to the founding team.
This is a salaried
part time
position for
one and a half days
a week (total 10.5 hours a week). Pay is set at 16.90/hour, reviewed annually.
36 days holiday annually (applied pro rata), plus other generous benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the good financial management of the business
- Manage financial transactions and records using Xero
- Assist with event planning and coordination
- Manage payment of act fees, venue contracts, and supplier purchases
- Customer support using Stripe (billing support, card migration, etc)
- Bookkeeping and reconciliation of accounts (including managed talent)
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Venue contracts, settlement reports, and ticketing.
- Producing financial statements, management accounts, and liaising with accountants.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Xero and bookkeeping experience
- Familiarity with G-Suite
- Experience with box office/ticketing
- Good customer facing skills
- Can work remotely and asyncronously
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Interest in live entertainment industry and SaaS software.
Location
- Hybrid, with one day a quarter working from our office in central London, and one day a year working from our base in Edinburgh. The rest remote.
