Obtaining and chasing quotations from suppliers
Placing orders with suppliers
Accurate data entry of purchase orders
Checking deliveries against the order placed
Chasing supplier deliveries
Maintaining good relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones
Stationery ordering
Answering phone, taking messages and/or diverting the call to the appropriate person
Arranging returns of goods
Arranging hotel accommodation for site operatives
Ensuring vehicle maintenance is kept up to date
Typing of quotations
Weekly collation of site operatives' timesheets
Weekly collation of sub-contractor timesheets
General office duties
Requirements:
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Diligence and attention to detail to ensure accuracy when raising purchase orders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A pro-active and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
Previous experience in an administration role is essential
