We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Part-Time Property Administrator / Manager with strong legal knowledge to support the day-to-day management of a mixed property portfolio.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in property law, lettings administration, compliance, and tenant/guest communications, who can work independently, manage sensitive issues professionally, and ensure legal and operational standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Property Administration & Management
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks across residential and/or holiday-let properties
- Act as a key point of contact for tenants, guests, contractors, and external partners
- Coordinate maintenance, inspections, repairs, and compliance works
- Maintain accurate property records, tenancy files, and booking documentation
Legal & Compliance Duties
- Prepare, issue, and manage legal property documentation including:
- Tenancy agreements and periodic contracts
- Section notices and formal correspondence
- Deposit documentation and compliance records
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation (e.g. landlord & tenant law, GDPR, health & safety requirements)
- Support dispute handling, complaints, and escalation processes
- Liaise with solicitors, councils, managing agents, and regulatory bodies when required
- Financial & Operational Support
- Assist with rent tracking, arrears monitoring, and payment follow-ups
- Keep clear records for audits, insurance claims, or legal matters
- Communication & Customer Service
- Draft professional emails, letters, and formal responses
- Handle sensitive situations calmly and confidently
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism and discretion at all times
Required Experience & Skills
Essential
- Previous experience in property administration, property management, or lettings
- Legal experience or strong working knowledge of property law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage confidential information
- Confident using Microsoft Office /Teams and property systems
Desirable:
- Experience with mixed portfolios
- Knowledge of Section 8 / Section 21 processes
- Experience dealing with local authorities or managing agents
- Familiarity with compliance documentation and inspections
