This is not a passive "sit at the desk" role -- you will be the hub of the clinic, juggling multiple tasks at once while ensuring every patient feels welcomed and cared for.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the first point of contact for patients, in person and on the phone.
Managing a busy diary of appointments with accuracy and efficiency.
Handling payments and rebooking patients as they leave.
Managing stock orders, supplies and day-to-day admin.
Supporting podiatrists with practical needs and problem-solving on the spot.
Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and presentation across the reception and clinic areas.
What we need from you:
Proven experience in a fast-paced reception or customer-facing role where multi-tasking is essential.
Outstanding communication skills: warm, approachable, and professional under pressure.
Organised and detail-focused, with the ability to keep things running smoothly even when it's hectic.
Resilient, practical and resourceful -- whether that's rebooting a router, unblocking a sink, or solving scheduling clashes.
IT confident (appointment systems, spreadsheets, troubleshooting).
Energetic and positive, with a sense of humour and natural empathy for people.
A team player who takes pride in leading by example and supporting colleagues.
A good dollop of common sense!
Someone who takes pride in their appearance.
The role:
Part-time:
Thursdays and Fridays, 9:00am-5:30pm
Working within a small, supportive team of receptionists with shared responsibility for holiday cover.
If you thrive in a busy environment, love problem-solving, and can deliver exceptional service while keeping everything running behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.
