The Whisky Shop is the largest specialist retailer of Whisky in the UK with 23 outlets spread across many of our major city high streets.

We are now looking for a part time member of staff for our most recent Glasgow branch within Princes Square, however flexibility to be able support our other Glasgow branch might also be required. This is a new boutique style store aimed at customers looking for all things whisky, from gift buyers and those looking to expand their interests to collectors, investors and connoisseurs.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or over due to the selling of alcoholic products.

We require people with retail experience, within a similar specialised sales environment. Ideally someone with a good knowledge of or an interest in whisky would be considered highly.

This position might suit a student looking to work weekend plus the ability to do extra days over holidays etc.

The main tasks in this role involves all aspects of retail from offering great customer service and advice, till operating including cash handling, merchandising, stock replenishment and deliveries which might involve heavy manual lifting and general housework duties to ensure a clean and tidy store

We also operate a mail order service, click and collect service and a whisky auction.

We host tasting events and would be looking for persons with confidence to speak to larger groups during these events.

We will mostly be looking for flexibility, confidence and a willingness to learn.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
