Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, maintaining shop organisation, and assisting with sales. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a passion for helping customers find the products they need.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the shop. 18 - 20 hours over 3 days & 1 in 3 Saturdays Provide knowledgeable information about products to enhance customer experience. Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional items and increase sales. Maintain an organised and tidy shop environment, ensuring shelves are stocked and displays are appealing. Handle customer inquiries via phone with excellent phone etiquette, providing accurate information and assistance. Process transactions efficiently at the till while ensuring a smooth checkout experience for customers. Collaborate with team members to meet shop goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Proficiency in English is required; bilingual or multilingual candidates (especially Spanish) are highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a busy retail environment. Previous experience in retail or customer service is an advantage but not essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and colleagues. A proactive attitude towards learning about products and improving sales techniques.
