Part-Qualified Accountant

London (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home)

Role Summary

We are looking for an ambitious part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) to join our finance team. This role offers hands-on experience in financial and regulatory reporting, while providing study support and mentoring to complete professional qualifications. You will play a key role in supporting the month-end and year-end processes, while gradually taking on more responsibility as you progress.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with month-end close processes: preparing journals, reconciliations, and management reports. Take ownership of fixed asset registers and reconciliations. Assist with analysis of accounts within the P&L. Support in the preparation of tax analysis, VAT returns, and regulatory submissions. Contribute to year-end processes, liaising with auditors and supporting statutory accounts preparation. Provide support on ad hoc financial projects, analysis, and process improvements. Progressively take on more responsibility as exams and practical experience are completed.

Requirements

Part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with ongoing exams (study support available). Experience in accounting/finance, ideally in financial services or insurance. Good technical knowledge of accounting principles and controls. Knowledge of Xero accounting system preferable but not essential. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset. Motivated to complete exams and progress into a fully qualified accountant role.
