We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with their parts needs, managing inventory, and providing excellent service to ensure customer satisfaction. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your mechanical knowledge and sales skills in a dynamic environment. The Parts Advisor will play a vital role in supporting our workshop and retail operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. Peugeot/Citroen experience an advantage but not essential.
Responsibilities
Greet customers promptly and professionally, offering expert advice on parts selection
Assist customers in locating the correct parts for their vehicle or machinery, leveraging mechanical knowledge
Upsell additional products or services to maximise sales opportunities
Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
Maintain organised stock levels, ensuring parts are correctly labelled and stored
Manage inventory records, including stock checks and reordering as necessary
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing queries and resolving issues effectively
Collaborate with workshop staff to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs and servicing
Keep the parts department clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards
Qualifications
Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within automotive or mechanical sectors
Mechanical knowledge or background is highly desirable
Strong upselling skills with the ability to identify additional sales opportunities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Competent in cash handling procedures with attention to detail
Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences
Previous experience using stock management systems is advantageous
