We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parts Manager to lead our parts department and contribute to our continued success.

Job Summary:



The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department, including inventory management, sales, procurement, and staff supervision. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the parts department, providing excellent support to our service technicians and retail customers while adhering to Jaguar Land Rover standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:



Inventory Management:

Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet the demands of the service department and retail customers, minimizing obsolescence and maximizing turnover. Utilise JLR-approved inventory management systems and processes to track stock levels and forecast demand accurately. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies. Manage warranty returns and core programs in accordance with JLR guidelines.

Procurement and Purchasing:

Source and procure genuine JLR parts and accessories from approved suppliers at competitive prices. Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to maximize profitability. Expedite urgent parts orders to minimise service delays. Manage relationships with JLR parts distributors and vendors.

Sales and Customer Service:

Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, including assisting service advisors with parts identification and pricing. Actively promote parts sales through various channels, including online platforms and marketing campaigns. Develop and implement strategies to increase parts sales and achieve sales targets. Handle customer inquiries and resolve parts-related issues promptly and professionally. Develop relationships with local body shops and JLR Specialist businesses.

Team Leadership and Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise a team of parts advisors and warehouse staff. Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance appraisals. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment. Ensure that all staff members adhere to company policies and procedures.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the parts department budget, monitoring expenses and revenue. Analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement. Prepare regular reports on parts sales, inventory levels, and profitability. Ensure accurate and timely billing and invoicing.

Compliance and Standards:

Adhere to all Jaguar Land Rover parts policies, procedures, and standards. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legal requirements. Stay up-to-date on JLR parts updates, recalls, and technical bulletins.

Qualifications and Experience:



Proven experience as a Parts Manager in an automotive dealership, preferably with Jaguar Land Rover experience. In-depth knowledge of automotive parts and systems, particularly JLR models. Proficiency in using parts management software and inventory control systems. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to analyse financial data and manage a budget. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Valid UK driver's license.

Desirable Attributes:



JLR parts management certifications. Experience with JLR warranty procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. Experience with Keyloop (Formerly Keyridge)
