Content & Growth Assistant (YouTube + Substack/Newsletter + Social Media)

We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive Content & Growth Assistant to join our small team part-time. This is a dynamic role for someone excited about content, community engagement, and meaningful storytelling. You'll play a key role in managing our Substack, growing our YouTube channel, supporting social media output, and helping us experiment with new content formats.

About you

A creative storyteller who can craft engaging posts across formats (video, text, and social). Confident with copywriting, editing, and content creation. Skilled in community engagement and customer interaction. Familiar with or interested in serious topics such as IBD, Stoma, and Birth Trauma. An AI wiz with the ability to use tools for efficiency and creativity. Comfortable reading and analysing data to inform strategy. Marketing background and/or digital growth experience is a strong plus. Curious, proactive, and able to balance creative thinking with execution.
What you'll do:

Substack / Newsletter

Head up Substack: managing publishing, formatting, and light editing. Track and report on trends, performance, and growth. Add product links, cross-promotions, and affiliate integrations. Write or co-write content when needed to supplement the founder. Keep newsletters fresh, engaging, and consistent.

YouTube

Manage uploads, titles, descriptions, tags, and scheduling. Reply to comments daily on the YouTube page. Help brainstorm and refine concepts for videos. Create scripts/ideas for Crohn's, Colitis, IBD, Stoma, and Birth Trauma content. Deliver content ideas/scripts so the founder can record, then handle editing, uploading, and distribution. Monitor trends and suggest new video strategies. Head up overall YouTube growth strategy.

Socials

Post daily on our broadcast channel. Post trial reels daily and at least 2x polished TikToks daily. Post bi-weekly on LinkedIn. Create and post storytelling-driven carousel content for Instagram and TikTok. Create weekly creative posts (e.g., condensation-on-window writing posts). Reply to every relevant comment on TikTok and Instagram, using affiliate links when appropriate. Reply to comments under

our podcast

content on Instagram and YouTube every day. Come up with deep, meaningful content ideas and brilliant podcast topics to drive engagement.

Podcast

Develop detailed podcast ideas weekly. Provide support for content planning and growth of the podcast audience.

Content Strategy & Marketing

Support creation of threads and long-form posts. Assist with website and newsletter updates. Provide marketing insights and storytelling across platforms. Help with copywriting and editing for campaigns. Suggest and test new editing platforms, tools, and formats. Bring forward fresh ideas, especially around AI integration and data analysis.
Details

Part-time role with flexible hours. Primarily remote (occasional in-person if local). Compensation based on experience. Room to grow with the team as our projects expand across platforms.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
