Gladius Motors Ltd is a small, family-run used car dealership known for quality stock and a personal, no-pressure experience. We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Part-Time Dealership Assistant (Sales & Admin) to support our day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have proven sales experience, be confident with computers, and enjoy working in a customer-focused environment. You will be involved in everything from booking viewings and handling enquiries to closing sales and maintaining vehicle listings.

This is a flexible, part-time position suited to someone with a proactive attitude and strong people skills -- ideal for those looking to stay involved in sales without the intensity of a full-time dealership role.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer enquiries by phone, email, and in person Book appointments and manage test drive schedules Sell vehicles and related products (commission paid on qualifying sales) Promote and explain warranty options to customers Photograph stock and create professional listings for online platforms Use computer systems to manage admin tasks, sales documentation, and inventory Organise and maintain vehicle documentation (V5s, service history, keys) Assist with MOT/valet drop-offs and forecourt presentation Provide excellent customer service throughout the buying process Collaborate with the owner to meet dealership performance goals
Skills

Proven experience in sales (preferably vehicle or high-value retail) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Good computer literacy; able to use email, listing platforms, and basic admin tools Reliable and well-organised with good time management Customer-focused with a friendly, professional manner Able to work independently with minimal supervision Confident driving different vehicles (Full UK driving licence required) Interest in cars and willingness to learn about stock and features
