Are you a creative and enthusiastic individual with a passion for designing? Join our lively and innovative Events team in Southend as a Design Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to put your skills into practice in a fast-paced, supportive, and fun environment.

As a key member of our team, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality visual content across digital and print platforms. You'll support the marketing and events teams with creative assets that align with our brand, help drive engagement, and communicate our story effectively.

Your responsibilities will include:

Develop engaging designs for digital assets including social media, email campaigns, web banners, and presentations. Design and prepare print materials such as brochures, posters, stickers, event collateral, and packaging. Maintain brand consistency across all visual outputs. Liaise with internal teams to create briefs. Update existing templates and materials as needed. Support occasional photo editing, retouching, and visual content creation. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines with efficiency.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a graphic designer (in-house, agency, or freelance). Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Strong typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills. Experience designing for both print and digital. Knowledge of Canva, or similar tools is a plus. Attention to detail and ability to take feedback constructively. Excellent time management and self-organisation. A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work.

Pay: 20.00-25.00 per hour
