Summary

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Accountant to work 3 days per week at our Cumbernauld office. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in financial operations and be confident working both independently and as part of a team. You'll play a key role in supporting the financial health of the company, working directly with directors, and liaising with our external accountants.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage payroll processing Handle invoicing processes and ensure timely billing Monitor and manage debtors and creditors Collaborate with company directors to develop and refine costing models for tenders and existing contracts Liaise with external accountants to support annual accounts, tax submissions, and ensure compliance and efficiency Maintain and reconcile financial records Provide support in budget preparation and forecasting as required Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial operations

Requirements

Proven experience in accounting or financial management (ideally 3+ years) Strong understanding of payroll, invoicing, and cash flow management Experience with costing and financial modeling preferred Competent in Xero accounting software and Sage payroll Excellent communication and collaboration skills High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities Ability to work on-site in Cumbernauld 3 days per week

Desirable

Previous experience working in the security or service industry AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent

3 days per week (flexible scheduling possible within business hours)

Salary

Competitive and dependent on experience
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 per week
