Join Our Team as a Sales & Kitchen Assistant - Geek Retreat Blackburn

Geek Retreat is on a mission to celebrate all things geeky--from games and superhero movies to anime and sci-fi. Our growing network of gaming cafes and stores across the UK are the friendliest places to meet, eat, trade, and play.

We're currently recruiting part-time Sales and Kitchen Assistants for our Blackburn store. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that blends retail, hospitality, and all things geek culture into one awesome experience.

. Our perfect candidate would be experienced in playing either Magic: The Gathering or Yu-Gi-Oh! and confident in teaching customers to play

Note: Applicants MUST include a cover letter to be considered Applicants must have weekday AND weekend flexibility

Responsibilities Include:

Serving and assisting customers with a welcoming attitude Meeting sales targets and driving in-store performance Preparing and cooking food to order Supporting and contributing to social media content creation Helping plan, set up, and run events and tournaments Maintaining basic cleaning and hygiene standards for the store
What We're Looking For:

Excellent communication and teamwork skills Proven hospitality and/or retail experience Positive, proactive work ethic Understanding of trading card games and/or tabletop games A genuine love of geek culture (think movies, TV, games, comics) Comfortable using social media or willing to learn DBS certification (preferred, not required)
