Part-time Waking Night Youth Development Support Worker



We are recruiting for our new home that is expected to open over the Summer and have an opening for a part-time Waking Night Youth Development Support Worker.

Working Hours & Shifts



Week 1:

Tuesday and Sunday nights

Week 2:

Wednesday night Shifts: 20:00 -08:00 (average 18 hours/week)

Waking Night Support Worker

to join our new team and help transform the lives of two young individuals (aged 6-18) unable to live with their families due to trauma, neglect, or other challenges.

What You'll Be Doing



Providing high-quality, person-centred care and emotional support in a therapeutic, homely setting during the night Helping young people develop confidence, life skills, and independence Managing challenging behaviours with patience, empathy, and professionalism Working collaboratively with a team that values compassion, innovation, and consistency

What We're Looking For



Minimum 12 months experience

in a similar waking night role An understanding of trauma and its impact on children and young people Calm, resilience and a positive approach to managing challenging behaviour Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare

Desirable:

Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete this mandatory course with full support)

Essential:

Full UK driving licence & access to a car (no public transport access)

Pay & Benefits



Salary Levels (Based on Experience):



Level 2: 13,412.88 (14.33/hour) - 6-12 months experience Level 3: 13,880.88 (14.83/hour) - 12+ months, no Diploma
Level 4: 14,713.92 (15.72/hour) - 12+ months + Diploma
