All our shifts are based on a rolling rota pattern.

Overview:
We are recruiting for our new home that is expected to open over the Summer and have an opening for a part-time and full-time Waking Night Youth Development Support Worker.
You must be enthusiastic, passionate, provide high standards of practice and safeguarding and have at least 12 months waking night experience within a similar environment.
In this role, you will make a meaningful impact on the lives of two vulnerable children and young people (aged 6-18) who are unable to live with their families due to early childhood trauma, neglect, and other significant challenges. Many face emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties, leading to challenging behaviours both physically and verbally.

Rates of Pay
31,296.72 (FT) and 13,412.88 (PT) = 14.33 per hour - Level 2 (+ 12 months waking night experience without L3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
32,388.72 (FT) and 13,880.88 = 14.83 per hour - Level 3 (at least 12 months waking night experience and completed 50% towards L3 qualification)
34,332.48 (FT) and 14,713.92 =15.72 per hour - Level 4 (at least 12 months waking night experience and L3 completed qualification)
Shift Times and Patterns
All night shifts commence at 20:00 until 08:00 and on average is an 18-hour week for our part time position and 42 hours for the full time position.
Qualifications
The Level 3 / 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare is a mandatory requirement for all our staff and ideally you will have already achieved this, however if not we can support you through the qualification.
Process for Applying
Are you the candidate we are looking for? Once we receive your enquiry you will be sent a job description and application form. On receipt of your application form one of our team will call you to discuss the role further, which will proceed to a face-to-face interview for suitable candidates and the final stage of the process would be an assessed shadow shift.
We provide everyone with a comprehensive two-week induction programme (held Monday-Friday during the day), a wide range of mandatory and bespoke training to develop basic and advanced skills. Thereafter you may be required to work some day shifts to ensure that you learn all about Anchor and our young people.
