Part-Time Financial Controller



Location: Hampton, Middlesex (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days remote)



Hours: 25 hours per week (flexible across 5 days)



Salary: 55,000 - 65,000 FTE

The Opportunity





Due to continued growth, the company is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function. This is a standalone role reporting directly to the Directors, offering flexibility and autonomy within a supportive team.



Key Responsibilities



Manage budgeting and forecasting, prepare financial reports, and oversee the month-end process. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. Supervise all accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations. Act as the main liaison for external accountants and ensure smooth coordination of year-end processes. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and accuracy. Provide clear financial insight to support business decision-making and identify risks or improvement areas.

What We're Looking For



Experienced Financial Controller with at least 3 years' experience in a similar SME environment. Strong background in double-entry bookkeeping, month-end close, and management accounts to trial balance. Hands-on, detail-focused, and confident working autonomously. Organised, efficient, and capable of balancing multiple priorities. Proficiency with accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks. Ideally based near Hanworth, Hampton, or Twickenham for easy access to the office.
