An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, professional individual to join the dynamic Pastoral Team at Paxman Academy. Working closely with the Deputy Head Pastoral and the Pastoral Team, you will provide key administrative support.
This post is 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time plus non-pupil/INSET days and one week during school closure period). The working pattern is 8:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am - 3:30pm Friday.
Please note that this vacancy closes at midnight on Sunday 31st August, interviews will therefore not take place until September. The start date for this post is as soon as possible following successful interview and pre-employment checks (approximately September/October).

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Providing high quality administrative support to the Deputy Head, Pastoral and the Pastoral Team;
Organising meetings on behalf of the Deputy Headteacher, Pastoral and providing administrative support including minute taking when needed;
Maintaining student records and databases, providing data as required;
Providing administrative support for transition and admissions processes, including appeals;
Coordinating visits from outside agencies to support students.

A good standard of education (ideally A Level or equivalent);
The ability to effectively manage your own time and prioritise work in a demanding environment;
High level communication abilities and excellent IT skills in a range of software applications;
Key attributes include a friendly, yet professional manner, and the ability both to maintain confidentiality and to handle difficult situations sensitively;
The ability to work effectively and positively within a team.
