The Haven is a nurturing, trauma-informed space within Atelier 21 designed for young people who need time, trust, and relational support to re-engage with learning. It's a place where emotional well-being is prioritised, and where students are met with curiosity, compassion, and consistency.
As a Pastoral Key Worker, you'll be at the heart of this provision--offering 1:1 relational support, co-creating individualised pathways, and helping young learners build the confidence and self-regulation they need to thrive. You'll work closely with our SENCo, Therapeutic Pathways Lead, and wider team to ensure each student's journey is held with care and intention.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the nuances of Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA), has experience supporting neurodivergent learners, and believes in non-punitive, student-centred approaches. You'll need to be emotionally attuned, flexible in your thinking, and committed to fostering a sense of belonging for every child.
At The Haven, we don't rush progress--we walk alongside our learners, celebrating the small wins and holding space for the hard days. If you're someone who sees behaviour as communication, values deep listening, and wants to be part of a pioneering team reimagining what education can be, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a key role that requires creativity, high expectations, and a commitment to excellence. You will also be a mentor, supporting the social-emotional development and academic progress of the young learners in your care.
