We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and resilient

Pastoral Support Worker

to join our supportive and experienced team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people by supporting their emotional wellbeing, mental health, and behaviour--ensuring they can access learning and achieve their full potential.

You will provide day-to-day pastoral support to students aged 13 to 16, with a focus on those experiencing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges. Support students in overcoming barriers to learning through positive behaviour strategies. Whilst working closely with teaching staff, Heads of Year, and external agencies to promote the welfare and wellbeing of all students. Build trusted, professional relationships with students and act as a role model for respectful, positive behaviour. Support with the smooth running of the school day by applying the Federation's attendance waves of intervention to try and secure the best possible outcomes, contributing to a safe and inclusive environment for all.

You will have experience working with young people, particularly those with social, emotional, or mental health needs, demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding, behaviour support, and pastoral care whilst being calm, confident, and resilient when managing behaviour and responding to challenging situations. Show excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Be adaptable, proactive, and committed to helping every student succeed.

The working hours will be Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm with a half hour lunch. These times may change from time to time to meet the operational needs of the school
