As our skilled and creative Pastry & Cake Decorator you will combine the artistic responsibilities of pastry and cake decoration. Your role will involve creating and decorating a variety of pastries and cakes, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste, while also managing tasks such as processing price increases, new product development, ordering raw materials, and maintaining bakery equipment. Your keen eye for detail, passion for pastry arts, and strong organisational skills will be essential in managing these various operational tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Pastry & Cake Decoration:
Design, create, and decorate a variety of pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to Corner Bakery's standards and customer specifications.
Ensure high-quality presentation and taste of all products.
Innovate and develop new pastry and cake designs to keep the bakery's offerings fresh and appealing.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the decorating area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pastry & Cake Decorator, with a strong portfolio of work.
Excellent creative skills and attention to detail.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of bakery operations and supply chain management.
Basic understanding of pricing strategies and cost management.
Familiarity with bakery equipment maintenance.
Ability to work independently and proactively manage operational tasks.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position based at Corner Bakery.
Flexible working hours to meet production and operational needs.
Physical work requiring standing for extended periods and lifting heavy ingredients or equipment.
