Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled pastry chef / baker to join our small artisan team at Ma Ma Boutique Bakery - an award-winning gluten-free bakery known for our handmade sourdoughs, cakes and seasonal creations

We bake real food, by hand, every day - and we are looking for someone who shares that passion.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items to enhance our offerings. Ensure all food production is completed in a timely manner while maintaining quality and consistency. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry station, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting in ordering as necessary. Participate in training junior kitchen staff on pastry techniques and best practices.

Experience

Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment, particularly in baking or pastry production. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices within a restaurant setting. Experience working in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for creating high-quality baked goods and desserts that delight customers. Pay: 18.00-20.00 per hour
