Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Pastry Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a commitment to excellence in culinary practices.

Duties

Ability to be refined and intricate when plating dishes to a high standard (2 rosette level) Assist in food preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or issues. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Participate in regular kitchen cleaning schedules.

Experience

Previous experience in a Pastry role in a restaurant setting is essential and within a rosette level establishment preferred. Familiarity with culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen equipment is essential. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills within the culinary field.

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
