York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an individual who is passionate about helping people undergoing oral systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) for breast cancer. We are looking for someone to join our newly formed Oncology Oral SACT team to help set this new service.
The team will play a major part in the delivery of Oral SACT and improving the patient experience. As the Oral SACT Pathway Navigator you will be responsible for the monitoring and tracking of a patients. This would be in line with clinical guidance/processes and national directives for cancer performance.
You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders (clinical and non-clinical) and multi-disciplinary teams. Therefore excellent effective communication skills are a must to be able to support and progress the cancer patient's pathway.
You must have a minimum of 2 years previous administrative experience, ideally with experience of working with databases and understanding data collection processes.

To facilitate and support the nursing, medical and pharmaceutical teams in the timely delivery of oral SACT.
Co-ordinate the administrative pathway of patients who are receiving oral SACT treatments, and act as a main point of contact.
Ensure accurate data is captured timely and entered onto the appropriate systems, and to assist with audit collection.
To be able to exercise sound judgement in relation to problem solving, and identifying situations requiring further advice.
Be able to organise and prioritise your own workload to meet the requirements of the role.
Be able to work effectively as part of a small team, with a flexible patient centred approach.
