An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Patient Co-ordinator to join our friendly reception team at McGlone Medical Practice. The post is 25.5 hours per week, over 4 days. The main function of this role will be to aid the smooth running of the reception, and duties will include: - Dealing with patients at reception and by phone - Processing prescriptions and mail - Booking appointments - Signposting' to appropriate services - Other administrative duties following in-house training. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and IT skills. They will need to be flexible, able to work in a busy practice, use their own initiative and work as part of a busy team. We are a 8 Partner GP Training practice situated in Baillieston Health Centre. Previous experience of working within primary care is preferred but not essential. The preferred candidate should have previous reception/clerical experience working in a customer facing environment. Typing skills would be advantageous.
The post hours are
Monday 8.30-1pm, Tuesday 8.30-1pm , Wednesday 8.30-6, Thursday OFF & Friday 8.30-5.30pm (1hr lunch break). This post will start end February/March. These hours are non-negotiable.
