Salary:

The starting salary is 34,808, which includes allowances totalling 2,928.


The salary is broken down as 31,880 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale 34,108. Plus, a location allowance of 1,928 and a non-pensionable allowance of 1,000.

The POCA Assistance Unit (PAU) within Economic Crime provides essential administrative support to Financial Investigators throughout the MPS, and the team ensures our officers and staff have access to the correct systems and tools required to conduct their investigations. The team are responsible for arranging training, producing and analysing Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) performance data for the MPS, undertaking compliance work on cases and other essential admin functions. This role's primary remit will be compliance on cases logged on the Joint Asset Recovery Database (JARD).


Excellent communication and organisation skills are essential as you will be liaising with officers and staff at all levels and working with external stakeholders. Due to the varied nature of the work undertaken by the team, you will often need to manage shifting priorities, meeting set deadlines.


This is a hybrid working role, with 60% of hours to be worked in a MPS building. Although the role will be based at Cobalt Square in Vauxhall, there may be a requirement to travel to other Economic Crime Hubs.

Key Responsibilities:



Process monthly JARD compliance reports, sending reminders to case owners where records are non-compliant and escalating where necessary. Liaise with Financial Investigators (FIs) regarding compliance queries/issues. Review bank accounts administered by external partners, contacting officers/staff where compliance has not been met and escalating where necessary. Maintain and update the JARD user guidance policy. Process JARD User Query forms, create/reactivate/expire accounts as required. Produce JARD reports and data in relation to Open Cases, detailing where these cases are held and the age of the case. Produce JARD audit lists reviewing overdue log ins and removing access where necessary. Produce regular POCA Performance data, including creating relevant data packs. Update & maintain the team's spreadsheets ensuring all entries are completed by set deadlines. Assist with secretariat support for meetings as and when required. Maintain Economic Crime's communication systems, including mail groups and team channels. Arrange payments, raising purchase orders, good receipting invoices and associated administration tasks. Provide cover for any other roles undertaken within the PAU as and when required. Any other Ad-Hoc duties as and when required to support management, Economic Crime and wider MPS.

Vetting




This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.
