As a Payments Specialist you will be Responsible for accurately and efficiently handling vendor and employee expense payments, ensuring proper processing, recording, and reconciliation. Additionally, tasked with identifying and resolving payment discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to; Generating payment proposal reports
Creating payment files for vendor and employee expenses
Processing manual payments
Reviewing and adjusting invoice due dates as needed
Allocating and clearing manual vendor payments
Reversing vendor invoices for re-processing
Blocking and unblocking vendor invoices
Managing and maintaining Direct Debits and Standing Orders
What we need to know about you

Essential
Qualifications & Training:
+ GCSE level
Experience & Knowledge:
+ Prior experience in Payments and Accounts Payable processes
+ Basic understanding of Purchase to Pay (P2P) processes
+ Familiarity with financial systems
Skills & Competencies:
+ Strong attention to detail
+ Effective problem-solving abilities
+ Clear verbal and written communication skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Personal Qualities:
+ Self-motivated and disciplined
+ Adaptable to dynamic and evolving environments
+ Approachable with a positive attitude

+ A-level or BTEC equivalent
Experience & Knowledge:
+ Competency with ERP systems, preferably SAP
