Summary



We are seeking a dedicated Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team at RS Worldwide Ltd for part-time, maternity cover . This is a hands-on role where you will manage payroll for our diverse workforce, ensuring it's accurate, compliant, and on time. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate payroll processing and invoicing - supporting our mission of delivering exceptional service to our clients.

You will take full ownership of the end-to-end payroll process for 200+ employees, covering complex shift patterns, multiple pay rates, and statutory calculations. Attention to detail, strong organisation, and a proactive approach are key.

Responsibilities



Communicate monthly payroll cut off dates to operations managers Supporting and processing monthly timesheets on payroll system Respond to all payroll calls and queries, sort SSP, SMP in a timely manner Manage the payroll inbox alongside the Payroll Coordinator Ensure all input is clearly labelled and organised Name and file all monthly input into the correct folders Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations. Assist with the administration of employee benefits and deductions. Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll-related inquiries. Prepare reports on payroll data as needed. Support audits by providing necessary documentation. Assist in the implementation of payroll software updates. Contribute to process improvements within the payroll function.

Qualifications



At least 6 months proven experience as a Payroll Assistant or similar role. Proficiency in payroll software. Knowledge of HMRC/RTI submissions. Strong understanding of accounting principles and HRIS systems. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with accounts payable processes is a plus.
