We pride ourselves on delivering a high standard of service with a personal touch. We are now seeking an experienced Part-Time Payroll Administrator to join our friendly and professional team.

Role



As Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for managing payroll services for multiple clients across various industries. This role requires someone who is highly organised, accurate, and confident working independently within a practice environment

Key Responsibilities



Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis Ensure accurate calculation of pay including statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), bonuses, and holiday pay Submit RTI (Real Time Information) to HMRC and ensure PAYE/NIC payments are made on time Administer pension auto-enrolment and ensure compliance with workplace pension schemes Prepare payslips, payroll summaries, and year-end reports (P60s, P11Ds, etc.) Maintain and update client payroll records in line with GDPR and HMRC requirements Act as first point of contact for client payroll queries and deliver exceptional client service Keep up to date with changes in UK payroll legislation and advise clients where necessary

Essential Skills



Previous experience in payroll administration within an accountancy or payroll bureau environment In-depth knowledge of current UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements Proficiency in payroll software such as BrightPay, Moneysoft, Sage, or Xero Payroll Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach Ability to work independently and manage multiple client deadlines Excellent communication and client service skills
It is unlikely candidates without relevant experience will be considered.

Desirable Skills



Experience dealing with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) returns Knowledge of bookkeeping or general accountancy practices Be IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Office.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
