Summary



We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team in Pontefract.

Responsibilities



Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with HMRC. Set up and administer workplace pension schemes, process pension contributions, opt-ins opt outs and re-enrolments Address payroll inquiries from employees and resolve issues promptly. Liaising with clients via telephone and email Prepare and issue payslips, P45s, P60s, and other payroll documentation. Administer statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) and deductions (PAYE, NI, pensions, student loans) General office duties as required

Essential Skills & Experience

: Proven experience processing payroll within the UK (preferably for multiple clients or within an accountancy practice). Solid understanding of PAYE, statutory payments, pensions, and HMRC reporting. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook

Salary:



Competitive hourly rate or pro-rata salary (depending on experience).
