Overview



The role is 3 days per month. 15.00 per hour.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator/accounts person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various payroll and accounting software systems.

Duties



Process payroll for 240 employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Maintain employee records within HRIS systems, including Workday and PeopleSoft, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Perform data entry tasks related to payroll adjustments, new hires, terminations, and other changes as necessary. Manage accounts payable functions related to payroll expenses and ensure timely payments. Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure alignment on employee benefits, deductions, and tax withholdings. Prepare payroll reports for management analysis and assist with financial reporting as required. Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.

Skills



Proficiency in payroll software such as XERO QuickBooks. NEST and other accounting software is essential. Experience with HRIS systems like Workday or PeopleSoft is desirable. Strong data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to maintain accuracy in records. Excellent analytical skills to interpret data effectively and support decision-making processes. Familiarity with accounts payable functions related to payroll processing. Strong understanding of human resources practices as they relate to payroll management. Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player in a fast-paced environment.
