Payroll Advisor - 35 hours per week - Monday to Friday

We are looking to expand the team and bring on a Payroll Advisor who would be responsible for accurately processing payroll across multiple schedules and providing expert support and guidance on all payroll-related matters.

As a Payroll Advisor you would receive:
- Salary - 27,000 - 32,000 DOE

What are your responsibilities for the role?
Payroll Processing
Process payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
Ensure timely and accurate creation of payroll reports and payslips.
Manage PAYE and employee payments where applicable.
Client Communication & Information Management
Collect and exchange complete and accurate payroll data from clients in a secure manner.
Communicate clearly with clients on all aspects of payroll to ensure the accuracy of processed data.
Ensure payroll information is returned to clients securely and in time for payment deadlines.
Provide timely responses to client queries and requests.
Regulatory Compliance & Pension Administration
Process and report workplace pension contributions in accordance with relevant legislation.
Manage auto-enrolment and re-enrolment dates, liaising with clients as required.
Administer pension-related tasks including issuing fees via Ignition.
Client Onboarding & Offboarding
Set up new clients on payroll systems accurately and efficiently.
Gather historical and current payroll data to support the initiation of payroll services.
Coordinate and manage the transition of clients exiting payroll services, ensuring all required data is collated and transferred appropriately.
Internal Support & Technical Guidance
Support employees by sharing technical knowledge and providing coaching where needed.
Assist the Payroll Manager and Head of Payroll with complex, sensitive, or unusual payroll issues.
Task Ownership and Accountability
Take full responsibility for completing all assigned tasks to the required standard by agreed deadlines.
Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
Ensure all processes are followed and contribute to a culture of efficiency and accuracy.
Follow all internal processes including the completion of checklists and the updating of schedules and profiles.
Complete any training provided by the Company to a high standard and in a timely manner.
Adaptability
Open to taking on additional responsibilities and projects as needed.
Person Specification:
Proven experience in a similar payroll role, with a strong background in processing payroll across multiple schedules.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients across various levels and platforms (phone, in-person, email, written).
Proficiency with payroll systems and relevant software.
Understanding of payroll legislation, including PAYE and workplace pensions.
Demonstrates strong time management skills and follows internal policies and procedures consistently.
