About The Role




We are recruiting for a Payroll Advisor to join our busy payroll service.

If you are passionate about all things payroll related and arecommitted to achieving positive outcomes for London Borough of Tower Hamlets staff and teachers, we would love to hear from you. We are particularly looking for those who have a continuous improvement mindset.



This role sits within the Improvements, Systems and Transactions team, which is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service, strengthening payroll governance, and harnessing digital technologies to create positive outcomes for both payroll staff and customers.

In this role, you will be:


primarily supporting end to end schools payroll service supporting the borough staff payroll team as required be directly in contact with staff and senior management on payroll queries.

About You





We are looking for someone who:


has experience of working in a busy payroll service of a large organisation (essential), sector is not a requisite is comfortable performing net pay calculations to demonstrate a basic understanding of additions and deductions, leave, maternity etc.. (essential) can work to set deadlines and can prioritise their work (essential) has strong communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse community (essential) has experience of working with Resource Link software (desirable).

Competitive salary depending on experience 39,807 to 41,637. Local Government Pension Scheme membership.
