DIGI Accountancy Ltd is a growing and innovative accountancy firm based in Manchester, focused on providing excellent accounting and payroll services to a diverse range of clients. As we expand, we're looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team, with the opportunity to build out a payroll department as part of the role.

We are seeking an Payroll Administrator to take responsibility for managing payroll operations and ensuring our clients receive accurate and timely payroll services. The role will start as a fully office-based position for the first month while you learn about our processes and clients. After this initial period, there will be the potential to work on a hybrid basis, splitting your time between the office and remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer end-to-end payroll processing for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Handle client payroll queries and provide timely resolutions.
Maintain accurate payroll records and reports, including processing timesheets, calculating deductions, and managing pension contributions.
Ensure payroll compliance with statutory requirements such as PAYE, NI, pensions, and other relevant legislation.
Assist with the implementation and improvement of payroll processes and systems.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure payroll aligns with overall business objectives.
Support the development of a payroll department with opportunities for growth and leadership.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in payroll administration.
Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and procedures.
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications (particularly Excel).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients' payrolls.
A proactive attitude and willingness to grow and develop within the role.

Our office is located in Manchester city centre, easily accessible by public transport. Travel expenses for required travel may be covered as part of the role.
