Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced
Payroll Manager
to oversee and manage payroll services for our clients. The successful candidate will ensure all payroll processes are compliant, timely, and accurate, while also supporting the firm's commitment to client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple UK-based companies
Ensure compliance with all relevant UK payroll tax legislation and statutory regulations
Ability to use payroll software
Liaise directly with HMRC on payroll matters, including submissions and queries
Handle payroll-related queries from clients with clarity and professionalism
Meet all payroll deadlines and manage workload effectively under pressure
Maintain up-to-date records and produce reports as required
Continuously review payroll procedures for improvements and efficiencies
Key Requirements
Proven experience running payroll for UK companies
Strong understanding of UK payroll tax rules and statutory obligations
Experience in managing and supervising payroll operations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Experience with BrightPay and BrightPay Connect or a similar software is a must
Experience dealing with HMRC is an advantage but not a must
