TPT Retirement Solutions are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to manage our payroll team, ensuring accurate and timely payroll services for pensioners, staff, and trustees. You'll support the Payroll Manager, oversee end-to-end payroll operations, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end high volume payroll processing for pensioners, staff, and trustees, ensuring pay runs are paid accurately and on time
Lead, coach and develop the payroll team
Act as key contact for complex payroll queries, issues and escalations
Ensure statutory compliance (P11Ds, P60s, PSA, Pension Auto Enrolment, HMRC reporting, audits and 3rd party payments)
Champion customer service and continuous process improvement
Lead cross-functional projects and system upgrades
Maintain records in line with GDPR and audit requirements
Deputise for the Payroll Manager as needed
Skills & Experience:
CIPP Foundation Degree in Payroll Management or equivalent qualification
Extensive payroll experience, preferably on high volume payrolls for multiple pay groups and with proven leadership skills
Knowledge of current statutory payroll legislation and best practices
Experience in payroll audits, compliance, and issue resolution
Payroll systems experience, Iris Cascade HRi would be preferable but good understanding of other systems and payroll interfaces will be considered such as Oracle, Sage or iTrent
Demonstrable exposure to systems implementation and continuous improvement
Excellent communication, numeracy, and analytical skills
