Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Level 4

Job Location:

SA14 7PW, SA6 5AP

Employment Type:

Full-time, 40 Hours per week

Base Salary:

27,000 - 29,000 Per Annum

Qualifications:

Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs and an understanding of PBS or ABA principles. You will be a strong communicator and work well in a team and have a willingness to learn and complete PBS Training if not already studied. You will be organised, reflective and compassionate and flexible and able to work across all shift patterns and across different services when needed. You will have one of the following qualifications or background:

PBS (BTEC or BILD, any level) Psychology degree Background in social work, nursing, teaching, occupational Therapy Awareness or working knowledge of SALT Framework or ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis).

Full job description

We're looking for a passionate and motivated PBS Practitioner (Level 4) to join our specialist residential services. You'll work closely with a Level 5 PBS Practitioner to support individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. This is a hands-on role where you'll help develop and deliver person-centred behaviour support plans, improve quality of life, and reduce restrictive practices. This role will support a full rota and will include evening and weekend working.

Role and Responsibilities

Support assessments and help create PBS plans Provide direct support and crisis intervention Promote positive, person-centred approaches Collect and analyse behavioural data Coach staff on PBS strategies Take part in debriefs and team meetings Keep accurate records and reports Commit to ongoing training and development

Experience

In this role, you'll work directly with individuals and support the implementation of PBS strategies across our services. Experience in care, education, or healthcare is desirable, Applications from candidates working towards a qualification in Health & Social Care, Psychology, or related field are warmly invited. Candidates will be familiar with behavioural data collection.
