PCV Driver/ Yard Operative

Due to further expansion, we are looking for a PCV Driver/ Yard Operative to join our busy bus and coach sales business. You will oversee the efficient operation of our yard facility and be responsible for managing our stock of buses and coaches in the yard.

As part of this role, it will be your job to ensure the sales stock is fully valeted for when a customer is viewing or collecting a vehicle, whilst also keeping the stock clean and in good order when parked up. We are renowned for our high-quality vehicle presentation, so having a passion for perfection when it comes to vehicle presentation is a must.

The role also includes occasions where you will show our valued customers our stock and accompany them on test drives.

We also buy and sell vehicles around the country, so part of the role includes collecting new stock vehicles or taking them for certification at DVSA test facilities throughout the country.

Requirements:

>Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) licence holder

>Ability to valet buses and coaches to a high standard of presentation

>Must be able to carry out basic engineering tasks, such as the jump starting of buses and coaches, changing of headlight bulbs, checking oil and coolant levels and replacing batteries where required

>Familiarity of various types of buses and coaches would be an advantage

>Provide excellent customer service

>Ensure health and safety directives are followed

>A good time keeper and willing to go the extra mile when needed

The role is paid monthly with a salary of 38k per year.

Please note, that this position can be physically demanding at times as we can have up to 60 vehicles onsite to look after. You will also be required to wash vehicles by means of using a jet wash and brushing the vehicle exteriors by hand and then detailing alloy wheels and dressing the tyres. The interiors must also be cleaned to a showroom standard.
