We are looking for a Paediatric Clinical Lead to join a well-established and progressive provider of complex care packages within the community. This community role will be based in North London, where the company has secured further packages during an exciting growth phase.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing face to face support to children and their families, whilst creating personalised care plans for each child. You will work closely with a core team of carers and nurses; training and supporting them with their clinical skills and activities.

Key responsibilities for a Paediatric Clinical Lead:



Oversee the provision of community care services, ensuring each client receives personalised and compassionate care according to their complex needs. Conduct regular client visits to assess care quality, client satisfaction and to provide clinical support to the care team Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, fostering a culture of continuous development including sign off of clinical competencies Mobilise packages of care across Optimam Complex Care case load. Support in the recruitment, training and assessment of clinical staff, maintaining high standards of care and professional conduct Serve as the primary contact for clients and families, providing expert advice and support Respond to clinical emergencies and provide leadership in complex care situations Analyse performance data and feedback to improve care services and client outcomes Implement and monitor a tailored care plan and risk assessments specific to an individual client's needs and updated according to changing needs Working closely with community teams, Integrated Care Boards (ICB), CHC nurses and CQC to establish and maintain bespoke packages of care

Required Skills



Extensive clinical experience, with a focus on complex care needs

A thorough understanding of UK healthcare regulations, clinical governance and best practice standards

(Required)

Experience of working with service users, particularly those that may have additional support needs

(Required)

Registered Paediatric Nurse with valid NMC registration

(Required)

Competency in clinical decision-making and problem-solving in diverse care environments

(Required)

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across London and surrounding areas

(Required)


Desirable Skills



Experience working with ICBs and local authority frameworks Previous experience in strategic planning and service development in a healthcare setting Up to date experience of tracheostomy care and ventilators within the last 2 years Qualification in ITU or HDU course Postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical speciality or healthcare management Good English - written and verbal
