Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Peer Navigator to work at our Brent Community Mental Health Service.


This is a Part Time Role working 28 Hours per week, Monday-Thursday.

The Role

To encourage, inspire, motivate and assist people aged 18+ who access CNWL services with multiple and complex needs. The WPSW will provide short-term support for patients leaving CNWL inpatient settings for 8-12 weeks to support them through the discharge process to reduce further admissions. This will help reduce delays in discharge from inpatient settings as a result of a wrap around support service. The WPSW will work alongside a Range of CNWL services including the Community Access Service team and inpatient wards to deliver a Peer Support Intervention Pathway.


The role of a WPSN has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of mental distress and are able to use their peer experience to offer empathy and understanding to others, inspiring hope and recovery with others. WPSW's will have a strong professional background and a good understanding of professional boundaries and be able to fuse these elements together within their role.
