Leading Edge Aviation are looking for a proactive, experienced and people-focused People Advisor to join our People team. Working closely with the People and Culture Manager, the People Advisor will take the lead on all day-to-day operational HR and recruitment work. In this position, you will help ensure our people function meets the needs of our team, providing an excellent employee experience, centred around the organisation's strategic mission.

With involvement throughout the employee lifecycle for our teams in Oxford and Spain this is a hands-on, dynamic role with plenty of opportunity to develop your skills and progress your career. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, based at our Oxford Campus, although occasional travel to Spain will be required. 3-4 days per week will be based in the office, with some flexibility.

Key Responsibilities





People Operations:

Focus on ensuring all Leading Edge Staff are supported, informed, valued and have the best possible experience at work. Act as the first point of contact for all staff, including managing the shared inbox, ensuring timely responses which are in keeping with Leading Edge's policies and values, escalating matters as required. Support and guide Managers with people related issues, and lead on employee relations casework matters. Provide a high-quality transactional and administrative service across the entire employee lifecycle, including paperwork, record keeping, data management, reporting and communications. Manage onboarding for new staff, working with managers to create positive and inspiring inductions Lead the offboarding process to gather exit feedback, and ensure internal compliance Develop use of the HR Information System (HRIS - HiBob) and maintain employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Coordinate the monthly UK and Spanish payroll process by providing accurate employee data and documentation to the Finance team. Drive and support employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives, providing resources that are relevant and accessible for our staff. Contribute to the development and implementation of People policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with current legislation. Support and coordinate to the Visa application process to ensure we can successfully place employees in our Spanish location. Ensure all People and Culture work is compliant with relevant legislation in the UK and in Spain, seeking additional support where required, and providing advice to staff and managers Support projects and initiatives alongside the People and Culture Manager to deliver our vision for People and Culture at Leading Edge.

Recruitment:

Lead on all recruitment operations for Leading Edge Aviation, ensuring an efficient process which keeps the candidate experience at its heart Ownership of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS - Pinpoint) to ensure the system is fit for purpose and properly used Take part in first and second stage interviews Support the creation of job descriptions, interview questions and candidate assessments Manage communications with candidates and hiring managers Contribute to the continuous development of processes and procedures to ensure excellence in our work

People and Team:

Be a trusted advisor and listening ear to all Leading Edge Aviation staff. Support, mentor and guide the HR Technician based in Spain, with the opportunity to Line Manage this post as you settle into the role. Coordinate Leading Edge Aviation's work experience programme, supporting passionate individuals to access valuable experiences in their chosen career. Demonstrate and uphold the company's core values in all actions, decisions, and interactions.

Core Competencies





Proven experience working in a HR Advisor position, or similar CIPD Level 3 qualified (Level 5, or studying towards is desirable) Heaps of initiative, with a positive and enthusiastic outlook, and a passion for your work. A working knowledge of UK employment law (additional knowledge of Spanish employment law would also be an advantage), with experience applying this to your work and advising others Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build relationships at all levels of the business. Strong organisational and time management skills. A flexible and adaptable approach to work. Strong IT and systems skills, with the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Demonstrable alignment with the company's core values in attitude, conduct, and work ethic.

Beneficial qualities:

Competency with the Spanish Language Experience or knowledge of Spanish employment law Experience managing an HRIS and/or ATS
