Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an exceptional People and Culture Manager to lead, build, and champion our people function.
To give you the full background, the founders are currently completing all HR related duties, and this role will give the successful person overall responsibility of the HR function which will be a stand-alone role.
You will work closely with the founders to shape, protect, and nurture the company culture, ensuring that the way they hire, develop, and support their company is aligned with their mission and values.
Alongside cultural leadership, the successful candidate will oversee and continually improve all core HR operations from onboarding and compliance to employee relations and talent development.
You will be a trusted advisor, a cultural architect, and a builder of beautiful work environments where talented people thrive. You will also be the living embodiment and steward of the company commandments, actively embedding them into every touchpoint of our people journey.

In this role, you'll lead and support a wide range of people-focused initiatives, embedding best practice and aligning to strategic goals across the business.
Core responsibilities include:
HR Compliance & Risk:
Ensuring alignment with employment law, GDPR, and health & safety regulations through robust policies, systems, and proactive risk management.
Employee Relations & Support:
Acting as a trusted advisor to staff and managers, handling employee relations matters with care and professionalism, including grievances, disciplinaries, conflict resolution, and mediation.
HR Systems & Data:
Maintaining accurate people data and systems, supporting reporting on headcount, turnover, engagement, DEI, and other key workforce metrics.
Reward, Recognition & Benefits:
Supporting compensation reviews, benefits administration, and the delivery of recognition programmes that promote performance and retention.
Organisational Planning & Change:
Partnering on strategic initiatives such as departmental restructuring, succession planning, and future workforce modelling.
Leave & Absence Management:
Overseeing annual, sick, family, and other leave processes with clear systems for tracking, reporting, and supporting employee wellbeing.
Learning & Development:
Supporting internal and external training initiatives, career development pathways, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Performance & Capability Support:
Enabling effective performance management, partnering with managers on capability conversations and structured review cycles.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
Creating inclusive onboarding journeys and respectful, compliant offboarding processes that reflect the organisation's culture and values.
HR Policies and Documentation:
Drafting and maintaining people policies, employment contracts, and handbooks in line with current legislation and evolving best practice.
Full Employee Lifecycle Management:
Providing a consistent, end-to-end experience across hiring, onboarding, development, performance, progression, and exit stages.
Culture & Talent
Deeply understand the founders' vision, values, and cultural pillars and bring them to life in everyday practices.
Design and implement a compelling talent acquisition strategy that prioritises both skills and cultural fit.
Partner with hiring managers to ensure a consistent, values-led recruitment process.
Lead onboarding experiences that immerse new starters into our culture from day one.
Build initiatives that foster engagement, growth, and a sense of belonging across teams.
Leadership & Strategy
Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on all people matters.
Provide coaching and support to managers to build leadership capability across the business.
Continuously evaluate and evolve our people practices meeting the needs of a growing organisation.
Support organisational design and workforce planning initiatives.
Requirements
Proven experience in a senior HR role, ideally as HR Manager, People Manager, or equivalent.
Strong background in both HR operations and culture/engagement strategy.
Deep knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Experience supporting growing businesses through scaling and change.
