An opportunity has arisen for a People Assistant based at our Distribution Centre in Corby. This challenging and interesting role will appeal to an individual with drive, determination, enthusiasm, employee engagement and the willingness to develop in HR.
This role is responsible for providing high quality administration. Responsible for a responsive and client-driven service to the business, ensuring timely, efficient, and effective HR related administration.
Duties and responsibilities:
Reporting to the People Manager, you will be responsible for providing HR related administration.
Support the operational team to manage employee relations cases efficiently and effectively to ensure fairness and consistency.
Support and improve absence management at site level including the active management of welfare meetings and OH referrals.
Manage sites Night Worker and MHE Operator health screening.
Provide upward internal people reports for the site.
Contribute to and develop reports and presentations for the site.
Support with minute taking in ER cases, welfare, and engagement meeting.
Maintain accurate records for the department and adhere to GDPR.
Provide support in progressing HR related projects and initiatives.
Support with sites' end-to-end recruitment, ensuring compliance to internal policies and the selection of the most suitable candidates.
To develop and maintain good working relationships with key customers.
All administration requirements are conducted timely, effectively, and accurately.
Assist in the planning of site engagement and support the team to conduct activities.
To support the communication and feedback channels with all staff and through a variety of mechanisms to support employee engagement.
Experience, skills, attributes, and the person:
Must have worked in HR Administration or similar roles previously.
Has gained prior relevant training or related work experience.
Confident with processing data.
Excellent Administration skills.
Organisation skills - Able to prioritise workload accordingly.
Notetaking and satisfactory level of attention to detail.
Excellent Microsoft Office skills and experience of working with recruitment and HRIS systems (Oracle HR ideally)
Develops and maintains effective working relationships.
Basic Communication skills.
Flexibility in working hours to support 24/7 operation.
Ability to deliver training.
