  • Ensures that all data within Orbia Pulse is accurate and is implemented and updated at the point of change. Maintains Orbia Pulse, electronically updating employee information, role details, organisational chart changes, creating job codes and vacancy requisitions and launching and amending annual performance review forms in line with corporate requirements.
  • Organises all elements relating to internal training programmes, including organising workshops, communicating with line managers, inviting delegates, booking hotels, ordering refreshments, etc.
  • Provides a first-class administrative support service for the People Managers, People Business Partner and Compensation and Benefits Manager at our Doncaster site and the wider People Team in a timely and effective manner.
  • Supports the People Director and Head of People with administration duties, i.e. staff planning and ad-hoc presentations and documents.
  • Supports the People team with letters and other administration requirements, including ordering Long Service vouchers, servicing drug and alcohol testing equipment, raising Purchase Orders, processing invoices, using SAP, etc.
  • Updates and maintains Company Organisation charts to reflect headcount and personnel changes.
  • Acts as the conduit for all UK and Ireland communications including but not limited to announcements, vacancies, Team Briefs and Town Hall meetings.
  • Takes responsibility for all employee absence by ensuring that the correct documentation is completed and returned by line managers and employees.
  • Works closely with the Compensation and Benefits Manager to ensure that speeding fines and parking contraventions incurred by Company car drivers are distributed in a timely manner.
  • Maintains and manages Private Medical Insurance information.
  • Takes responsibility for undertaking pre-employment checks, exit interviews, company car inspections, devising and updating job descriptions, updating policies and procedures in line with best practice and legislations, administering cognitive ability psychometric assessments, participating in Recruitment and Selection activities and acting as the HR Representative in some Employee Relations cases.
  • With support from the People Business Partner, undertakes and completes ad-hoc HR projects to a high standard.
  • Completes any reasonable task within their capability for the benefit of the collective team
The profile
  • Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 5 in Maths and English
  • Degree educated (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business and Management, or any other related disipline.
  • A high degree of computer literacy. The job holder must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of HR Best Practice and Employment Law would be a distinct advantage but is not essential.
  • Knowledge of Payroll practices and/or C&B administration experience would be a distinct advantage
  • The successful candidate will have previous experience in an administration role, ideally within a HR capacity
  • An excellent communicator across all mediums with the ability to plan and execute a range of tasks and responsibilities in line with operational deadlines, we are keen to welcome a highly organised team player who can work accurately at pace
