PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To support the People Manager and the Community Trust's Senior Management Team in providing timely and effective administration for people processes across the organisation. To continually seek to enhance the service provided to our people with innovation and continuous improvement.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Recruitment Support to include:
Overseeing the recruitment inbox, coordinating communication with candidates and supporting managers in the recruitment process.
2. Compliance Support to include:
Carry out the relevant pre-employment checks for new starters, triggering the DBS application process for relevant employees and workers, applying for references, obtaining relevant qualifications and certifications.
3. Employee lifecycle to include:
Generate offer letters and contracts for new starters, support new starters in the onboarding process, create letters for changes to employee terms and conditions, oversee the probation process, support line managers with absence management processes (such as sickness and annual leave), process resignations and support the leaver process; develop a solid understanding of our policies and processes to provide ad hoc guidance to all staff as needed, support training and development administration and coordinate the annual appraisal process.
4. Data Management to include:
Overseeing the day-to-day management of our HR system, updating employee records, assisting with audits, generating reports as required, ensuring compliance with GDPR and information security policies.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a HR role.
CIPD or working towards (desirable).
Excellent administration and organisation skills.
Naturally data driven with a systems and process focus.
Experience managing and improving HR information systems.
Excellent communication skills, with a particular focus on written communication.
The ability to be proactive, prioritise, and manage own workload.
A good knowledge of UK employment law and best practice in HR and payroll.
A passion for people and HR practice.
An appreciation for sports and the sporting industry.
