About the Role
We are seeking an experienced People Development Manager to lead Real Life Option's approach to learning, development, and organisational capability. The role ensures that colleagues across all regions have access to high-quality development opportunities that enable them to thrive, deliver excellent care, and grow their careers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the design and delivery of innovative, bespoke development interventions that strengthen capability, support career progression, and enhance retention.
Develop, implement, and embed a structured people development framework aligned to business priorities and future workforce needs.
Partner with leaders and managers to identify learning needs and provide coaching, guidance, and accessible tools to drive personal and team development.
Use talent, performance, and workforce data to generate actionable insights and inform succession planning and future skills strategies.
Ensure the design and delivery of a high-quality induction experience that sets new colleagues up for success.
Create and foster a continuous learning culture by developing programmes that enable career progression across the organisation.
Build strong, influential relationships across the organisation to embed consistent and effective people development practices.
Facilitate impactful development programmes, workshops, and masterclasses both face-to-face and virtually.

Ensure that learning and development initiatives directly contribute to improved organisational, team, and individual performance.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness and ROI of learning and development interventions.
Champion and embed a culture of continuous professional and career development across the organisation.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best-in-class learning solutions are identified and delivered.
Design and embed a competency and skills framework linked to career pathways for all roles.
Provide leadership, support, and direction to the L&D team, ensuring effective delivery of development priorities.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
? Significant experience in leading a learning and Organisational Deveolpment team ideally in health, care, or charitable sectors.
? Professional Learning and Development qualification (e.g. CIPD)
? Strong leadership and people management skills.
? Proven ability to design and deliver development strategies.
? Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels.
? Experience of managing budgets and evaluating impact
? Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
? Confident in using learning management systems and digital learning tools.
? Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
