The Role:

As a People Partner, you'll join an evolving People Services team to play a vital role in supporting the small business units on a journey of change to work hard, becoming faster and greener. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has the ability to challenge senior leaders to think differently about people strategy, balance the objectives of your operational stakeholders and HR work streams. As well as influence the thought processes of our management teams, supporting people centric activities that create opportunities for us to provide a great colleague experience.




Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs) from the small business units to understand business objectives and identify opportunities for team optimisation and enhanced performance. People Plan Development: Design and implement comprehensive people plans covering Learning & Development, Talent & Succession, Diversity & Inclusion, Ways of Working, and Wellbeing. Organisation Design & Change Leadership: Lead projects on organisation design and business change, applying best practices to deliver effective structures and ways of working. Talent & Performance Enablement: Build leadership capability and empower teams through supporting performance management, talent review cycles, and broader talent initiatives. Performance Enhancement Advisory: Coach and influence leaders and teams to enhance their outputs and achieve business objectives, encouraging broad and innovative thinking. Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships across business functions and the wider HR team. People Advisor Escalation Support: Serve as a primary point of support and escalation for People Advisors, providing expert guidance on ER and managerial matters. Compliance & Policy Adherence: Ensure all HR practices and policies align with relevant employment laws and company standards.

Skills and competencies


---------------------------


Previous HR Generalist/HRBP experience Experience in supporting the delivery and implementation of people projects and initiatives, managing various senior stakeholders at any one time Bags of drive and energy to be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a real passion for all things People and HR Understanding of current HR practices/trends and up-to-date employment law knowledge Ability to work in a fast paced, high demand environment, working to tight deadlines Ability to re-prioritise and keep multiple senior stakeholders happy Although it is not essential, it may be beneficial to be studying towards or already have a CIPD qualification

It is likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: HR Advisor, HR Generalist, People Advisor, Building Industry, Construction and Trade industry, FMCG, Retail or Supermarkets
